KATHRYN SHEA DUNCAN

Wandering with words, light, and sound.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” – Mary Oliver

This space is my canvas, where I intend to tell stories through writing, photography, music, and travel. Every moment has a tale to be told, and with my talents and time, I seek to bring to life the beauty, depth, and wonder of the world that exists around us.

Writing

Writing has been my refuge for as long as I can remember. A place where creativity flows freely and my thoughts find their release. Whether seeking solace, expression, or simply the magic of storytelling, I have always turned to the written word. This blog is an extension of that passion, a space where I explore themes of grief, travel, music, photography, and personal moments that shape me. With each post, I hope to capture life as it is: raw, beautiful, and ever unfolding.

  • Without Waiting

    Without Waiting

This poem mourns how a love built from small shared moments and joyful reunions has turned into absence. It ends with accepting the quiet and moving forward without waiting.

  • Least in Return

    Least in Return

From the back row on an unexpected flight home, I wrote about the moment you realize a love you fought for isn’t coming with you. It traces that loss into grace: returning to and choosing yourself.
